Samples of my Work

Delirium Assessment
During my clinical rotation on the telemetry unit at OHMC I worked with a number of patients with delirium that could have been easily mistaken for having dementia. I learned about the CAM-ICU confusion assessment method that they use on the intensive care unit. Here is a brochure I put together for performing this assessment.

CABG - care for the patient receiving coronary artery bypass surgery
During this same clinical rotation on the telemetry unit I had a patient undergoing a CABG. I was unclear how to care for a patient undergoing this surgery so I put together this brochure which addresses the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.

Twin to twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS)
When I was at my clinical rotation at Seattle Children's hospital I worked with a toddler who was a donor twin from TTTS. He struggled with a number of developmental issues. I did not know very much about this disease so I did some research and put together this informational flyer.

Sample Nursing Concept Map
Here is a concept map I put together for a patient who was on the telemetry unit at OHMC. This patient presented with a concomitant array of problems including acute Kidney Injury on top of third-stage chronic kidney disease, congestive heart failure with pulmonary hypertension, and a urinary tract infection. The spectrum of disease processes made this a dynamic care plan.

Diabetes Mellitus Type II
Below is a short informational video on Diabetes Mellitus Type II - a very common disease process witnessed in the hospital setting and affecting approximately 27 million people in the United States.
